Description: Build an elementary school, construct a health clinic, install a drinking water system, or complete another essential project while working side by side with local community members.

Join us in the picturesque Sacred Valley for an unforgettable and valuable experience. In addition to meaningful development work, community celebrations and daily adventures your group of ProPeru volunteers will hike the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. This truly is the trip of lifetime!

Highlights: Real projects...real experience! The focus of your development project is determined by your skills, your interests, and the needs of the local environmental community.

Experiential learning combines with weekly adventures, and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unforgettable internship experience. The ProWorld programs are highly rewarding, safe, and personalized experiences.

Qualifications / Skills Needed: ProWorld volunteers are adventurous, caring, sensible, humble, and curious individuals. Volunteers are expected to learn and grow while improving themselves and the communities in which ProWorld works.

All participants must have an adventurous spirit. Development projects are determined by the interests and skills of participants and the needs of the local community. Depending on the internship type, volunteers may need intermediate Spanish skills.

Intern Types: Environmental Studies, Humanities, International Relations, Liberal Arts, Social Sciences and Social Work

Languages: English and Spanish

Cost in US$: Please inquire

Cost Includes: Program fees support our host community economies in the forms of project materials purchases, local salaries, host family payments, and local purchases. Program fees include: full room and board, domestic transportation, 24 hour safety and medical services, and funding of development projects and internships. The program fee also includes world class cultural and adventure activities.
