Teach Children in Belize

Term: Throughout the year 
Dates: Starts every month of the year.

Description: Teach English or Math and work with local schools on a focused literacy, math, computer or other educational project. The focus of your teaching project is determined by your skills and the needs of the local children.

Programs are highly supported by an onsite staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the fields of study abroad and international development.

Teach Children in Belize

Highlights: Real projects...real experience! Work side by side with local teachers and children during your NGO Internship.

Watch the moon rise over the tropical jungle, hike through the rainforest, explore Mayan ruins, and search for monkeys in the secluded jungle. These and other weekly adventures combine with cultural excursion and productive volunteer work to form a comprehensive and unique volunteer experience.

Qualifications / Skills Needed: ProWorld volunteers are adventurous, enthusiastic, caring, sensible, humble, and curious individuals. Volunteers are expected to learn and grow while improving themselves and the communities in which ProWorld works.

Intern Types: Art/Fine Arts, Education, English as a Second Language, Humanities, Social Sciences and Women's Studies

Cost Includes: Program fees support our host community economies in the forms of project materials purchases, local salaries, host family payments, and local purchases. Program fees include: full room and board, weekly adventures, domestic transportation, 24 hour safety and medical services, and funding of development projects and internships.
