Health Outreach Internships - Oaxaca

Description: Work in a local health clinic, vaccinate children and take part in rural health outreach programs. Earn valuable hands on experience while working side by side with local doctors, immersed in a small community, performing meaningful development work, and exploring the cultural and natural beauty of Mexico.

The dual focus of development work and culturla immersion enables tremendous growth experiences for all program participants.

Health Outreach Internships - Oaxaca

Highlights: Real projects...real experience! Work side by side with local health care providers and community members during your Health Care Internship, stay with a local family, and learn Spanish!

Watch the moon rise over the cathedral, see the temples at Monte Alban, and experience the cultural richness of Oaxaca. Adventures combined with cultural excursions and productive volunteer work form a comprehensive and unique volunteer experience.

Qualifications / Skills Needed: Participants must have basic medical training (first aid), intermediate Spanish skills, an adventurous spirit, a true desire to explore, and a willingness to help others.

Cost Includes: Program fees support our host community economies in the forms of project materials purchases, local salaries, host family payments, and local purchases. Program fees include: full room and board, Spanish language instruction, and funding of development projects and internships. The program fee also includes multiple trips to ruins, cultural activities, and visits to rural communities.
