Volunteer in Bolivia
  Bolivia

Durations of Program: 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks and 9-12 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 3-6 months
Dates: Throughout the Year

Description: Bolivia is often called the Tibet of the Americas for its Nepalese-like culture, people and geography. A landlocked country, Bolivia spills through a maze of tortured hills and valleys into the vast forests and savannas of the Amazon and Parana basins.

One of Bolivia's largest cities, Santa Cruz, is home to this volunteer program, offering volunteers the conveniences of a semi-urban setting, while still being immersed in genuine Bolivian culture through homestays with local families. Take part in a fiesta, attend service at one of the many Catholic churches, or learn to cook a local dish at your homestay.
