Description:
Going to China is like entering into a totally new world: the time is completely different, as well as the air that you breathe, the nature, the colors and, of course, the ancient and well respected culture and traditions of the Chinese people. The Volunteer in China with Cultural Embrace program will give you the possibility to experience all this, and much more in the Chinese province of minorities and diverse landscape of the small and enchanting town of Dali.
This is also a fantastic opportunity to be a responsible traveler and make a positive contribution during your stay. Volunteering options include teaching in Bai villages and farming. You will be placed in a lake village situated in Shuang Lang.
The teaching and farming program serves a dual purpose: it is meant to help children in rural Bai to have a chance to speak more English and it will give you an insight into the pleasures of farming and manual labor in nature. Our Volunteer China Program will give you the possibility to make real friends among students, teachers and the local villagers.
Volunteers should have a good level of conversational English and a little knowledge or prior experience in teaching is highly appreciated but not necessary. But the most important thing is that you have to enjoy spending time surrounding by children!
